Bespoke Swimming Pool Design & Construction

Clearwater Swimming Pools designs and builds bespoke indoor, outdoor domestic and commercial swimming pools throughout England. No project is too large or too small, and our involvement can be tailored to exactly what is required. We can manage a complete any project from initial concept and design through to construction, installation and commissioning, or provide specialist support at any individual stage of an existing project.

Whether you require a complete turnkey swimming pool build, specialist pool construction, plant room installation, a liner replacement, equipment installation or simply our expertise for one particular element of the project, Clearwater can provide the level of involvement you need.

Every pool we build is individually designed around the available space, property and requirements of the client. We are not restricted to standard pool dimensions and can construct swimming pools in virtually any size, shape or depth, providing there is sufficient space and the site is suitable for the proposed design.

Our expertise includes liner and tiled swimming pools, on-site welded liners, skimmer and deck-level pools, bespoke steps, automatic pool covers, energy-efficient heating, filtration, water treatment, lighting and specialist pool features. We work with trusted industry suppliers and carefully select equipment to suit the size, use and specification of each individual pool.

Whether Clearwater is responsible for the complete project or working alongside your architect, main contractor or other specialists, our aim is to create a swimming pool that combines reliable performance, quality construction and a finish that complements the surrounding property.

Indoor Pools

Clearwater can provide far more than the construction of an indoor swimming pool. We can undertake a complete pool house build from start to finish, including construction of the building that will house the swimming pool and its associated facilities.

A pool house can be designed as a standalone building or as an extension connected to the existing property, allowing the entire space to be designed around how the pool will be used.

Depending on the project, we can incorporate:

  • Indoor swimming pool design and construction
  • Complete pool house construction
  • Pool plant rooms and filtration equipment
  • Changing rooms, toilets and showers
  • Saunas and steam rooms
  • Pool room lighting
  • Air handling and environmental control systems
  • Doors and windows
  • Pool heating and water treatment systems
  • Automatic swimming pool covers
  • Internal finishes and associated pool features

Managing the swimming pool and pool house as one coordinated project helps ensure that important elements such as ventilation, humidity control, heating, drainage, electrical requirements and plant access are considered as part of the overall design.

For projects involving an existing architect or main contractor, Clearwater can also work as part of the wider construction team, providing specialist swimming pool knowledge throughout the design and build.

Outdoor Pools

Our outdoor swimming pools are individually designed to complement the property, garden and surrounding landscape. Pools can be designed in a wide range of lengths, widths, depths and shapes to make the best use of the available space.

We can manage the swimming pool construction alongside the surrounding hard landscaping, including pool paving, copings, retaining walls and changes in ground level. Where required, we can also coordinate soft landscaping with trusted external landscaping specialists to complete the surrounding garden.

The location and orientation of an outdoor pool are carefully considered during the design process, taking into account the available space, sunlight, access, existing buildings, garden layout and how the pool will be used.

Where pool equipment cannot be accommodated within an existing building, Clearwater can also design and construct a dedicated external plant room to house the filtration, pumps, heating, water treatment and other swimming pool equipment. This allows the plant room to be positioned appropriately while keeping essential equipment protected and easily accessible for future servicing and maintenance.

Outdoor pools can incorporate a wide range of features including automatic safety or slatted covers, swim jets and counter-current systems, bespoke steps, pool lighting, heating systems and automated water treatment.

Our construction methods and equipment are selected to minimise unnecessary disruption to the surrounding property, with work carefully managed within the designated pool construction area wherever possible.

Commercial Pools

Clearwater has extensive experience in the design, construction, refurbishment and technical installation of commercial swimming pools.

Commercial pool projects can involve considerably more complex requirements than domestic installations. Our team works closely with architects, main contractors, consultants, mechanical and electrical contractors, designers and other specialist trades to ensure the swimming pool and associated systems are successfully integrated into the wider development.

We understand the importance of coordination between different teams throughout a commercial project and can provide specialist swimming pool input from the initial design and specification stages through to construction, installation, testing and commissioning.

Every commercial swimming pool is designed around its intended use. This can include specialist features such as hydrotherapy equipment, counter-current swim systems, massage hoses, accessibility equipment and facilities designed to support users with physical or learning disabilities.

Where additional access is required, suitable pool access equipment can be incorporated into the design to help users, attendants and carers enter, exit and use the swimming pool safely.

Our commercial swimming pool expertise extends beyond the pool itself and can include filtration and circulation systems, commercial water treatment, heating, plant rooms, pool covers, specialist controls and associated safety systems.

With decades of swimming pool industry experience, Clearwater has the technical knowledge and practical construction experience required to work as part of a dedicated professional project team while maintaining the quality and attention to detail expected across every Clearwater installation.
